What if i need to return something ?                                                            Caring & Sharing

Returns Policy

We hope you are entirely happy with any items you order from us and also try to remember that with any natural wooden objects there will be different grains and there could be some variations of paint colours etc. There will always be rare occasions when items need to be returned to us. If this is the case, please contact us to let us know you will be returning the item. Please DO NOT return any item until you have spoken to us. We will then provide you with details on how to return the item, if necessary, and how to cover the postage costs. You must retain a proof of postage (available free from any post office) when you return an item. No responsibility can be held for goods being returned without warning or without proof of postage.

Cancellation and Returns

Damages - 

We promise you that if your item is damaged we will exchange it or give you a full refund. All we ask is that you phone or email us before you return the goods to us in the condition you received them within 7 days.

If you are not entirely happy with your order, please return the goods to us in the original packaging, using the returns address on your package and we will issue you with a full refund for the goods. 

Please obtain a Proof of Posting certificate from the Post Office as we cannot be responsible for parcels that are lost on return to us. 

Your statutory rights are not affected.

Cancellations -

This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You are responsible for the risk of loss or damage when you return goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value.

What are the delivery terms

At Toadstool Toys, we aim to provide you with a level of service that is second to none, and as a small family run company we feel that customer service is one of our strong points, most of our orders are dispatched the same day if we have them in stock, obviously as a small company we do not have unlimited storage space and as such some of our less popular and larger items are ordered from our supplier especially for you, where this is the case it is clearly stated on the page or product itself, these items usually arrive to us in 5-7 days and are then checked and posted to you, unfortunately in these cases or at busy times, our suppliers may not have the items available, although this is very rare when this occurs we will inform you immediately and give you a full refund and apology, unlike other companies who just keep you hanging on, also if the item is ordered for you, we will let you know that this is the case and keep you updated accordingly

Postage and Delivery

Due to the increasing postal costs by Royal Mail our delivery methods have had to change to ensure we can still offer good value for money and unlike other companies our postage charges remain unchanged for as long as we can. Most of our items will now be sent by the courier company Myhermes and you should receive your goods within 3 -5  working days, where we can we will still use Royal Mail for the smaller items, but changes in their system means most of the swords etc we sell are too large to use their parcel service or too expensive, if for whatever reason you need your order quicker please email us before you order for a postage quote for parcelforce next day delivery.

If payment has been made by credit card or PayPal we aim to despatch all items within 2 working days from receipt of order, most go out the same or next day, please note that at busy times we may have a back log of orders and your order make take longer to process if this is the case we will email you as soon as we are aware of the problem and let you know how long we estimate delivery to take of course if this does not suit you requirements we will provide you with a full refund and a big sorry.

What if I am out when the delivery occurs?

Please note that with larger parcels, if they do not fit through a letterbox or if alternative delivery options nave not been given, a failed delivery card will be left by Royal Mail or the courier. After two failed delivery attempts goods will be returned to depot for up to 28 days in the case of Royal Mail, and seven days for the couriers. If goods are not collected, or a collection time not arranged, the goods will then be returned to us. If you still want to receive your items and the goods are returned to us a re-delivery charge will be payable.

Can I have my parcel delivered to a different address?

We can arrange for your order to be delivered to any address within the UK. However please be aware that we cannot deliver different items within one order to different addresses. For example - if you need to send a set of bookends to Glasgow and a wooden name plaque to Reading you will need to place two orders, one for the bookends and one for the plaque. 

What if my parcel doesn't arrive?

It is rare for parcels to go missing but in the unlikely event that your order does not arrive in reasonable time, please contact us and we will resolve the issue.

Ordering from outside the UK

We do not  accept orders from outside of the United Kingdom, at the present time.
